Data Protection Information
On the application site of the IMPRS CoNI and on the summer school application site of the IMPRS NeuroCom, all fields marked with * are mandatory. The gathered personal information at these sites will be used to efficiently support the application and recruitment process. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6, para. 1, letter b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and § 26, paragraph 1 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
All fields which are not marked are optional. You can provide this information on a voluntary basis. The legal basis is your consent based on Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a of the GDPR. Consent is also the basis for the additional purpose of the processing of your data for statistical purposes by IMPRS CoNI and IMRPS NeuroCom and those academic partners, who are involved in the selection and evaluation process.

General Information about your nationality, current place of residence, age, gender, the university at which you completed your degrees and how you got to know the IMPRS CoNI or IMPRS NeuroCom will furthermore be processed for statistical reasons / evaluation purposes. These purposes also include our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO which is the legal basis therefore.
Processing of your personal details is carried out by way of order processing on the OpenCampus GmbH. The IMPRS CoNI as the responsible body only has access to your data insofar as this is necessary for the application and recruitment process in line with the internal allocation of responsibilities. Your data will be reviewed by the IMPRS CoNI and those academic institutions in Germany and the UK, who are involved in the selection and evaluation process of candidates for IMRPS CoNI or applicants for the IMRPS NeuroCom Summer School.
In case of a successful application, we transfer your data into our management system.
In the event of rejection, your data will be deleted at the end of the application procedure.
The above mentioned Information processed for statistical reasons /evaluation purposes will be stored for a period of 6 years. These purposes also include our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO which is the legal basis therefore.

In principle, you have the right to information in relation to the data concerning you, the right to have the data corrected should it be incorrect and the right to request deletion of the data if it is being stored unlawfully, as well as the right to have the processing restricted, the right of data portability and the right to object to processing. You can withdraw consent which you have issued at any time. You also have the right to submit an objection to a supervisory authority, for example to the authority competent for the MPG.
